Bio: I have struggled with body image issues and weight loss for over 30 years. I am a mother to 2 beautiful girls, I want to teach them how to be healthy and confident. I have tried different diets, but have never been able to succeed at permanent weight loss. In January 2016 I admitted that I didn’t have the ability to lose weight and keep it off by myself, so I began researching weight loss surgery. I did not come to this decision lightly and after 5 months of appointments and lifestyle changes I had gastric bypass surgery along with surgery to fix my hiatal hernia (for the 2nd time) to resolve my acid reflux and an abdominal hernia repair from my last pregnancy. I have completely changed my lifestyle, stopped trying fad diets, eat a balanced diet, and exercise at least 3-4 times per week. I have lost 170 pounds from my highest weight to my lowest weigh and love my new life!
